We are proud with the results we achieved since 2012 when Dogs Trust opened its representative office in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition to mass neuter campaigns for stray dogs which already reduced the number of new dogs on streets, and free neutering for owned dogs, we also worked hard on the veterinarian training programme and education programme for school children. Our activities continuously grow and expand. Our dedication to improve the wellbeing of dogs in the community through supporting the local authorities to reduce stray dog problem in a humane and law-compliant manner can be seen in the numbers.

“I feel compelled to invite all relevant actor, governments and citizens to investigate and halt violations of the Animal Protection and Welfare Act, and to solve the problem of stray dogs in a humane, transparent and sustainable manner, which is in the interest of the community and dogs !”
“The welfare of dogs is also in preventing the unwanted puppies to be brought into the world and then be thrown into the street to live in harsh conditions! This is in the interest of the community as well, because some of the stray dogs may become aggressive or ill. The dignity of a dog as a species is at stake and can be returned only with the system of measures, including mass neutering, because every dog deserves a good home!”
(Why do I support Dogs Trust?) “Well, because of some most natural and the most humane reasons. I despise the killing of any kind. As a kid I was always around taking care of stray dogs, and I fed them in front of my apartment building. That is why I am – I am sensible to life and that is how I act.”
“I lived too many dogs in my life and I saw too many killings. Enough said!”
“If we pass a kill law today as a path to solve stray dog problem, I am convinced that in a few years we can expect a similar law to be adopted for homeless people, or those without job or retirement ... This may sound rough, but bringing a legislation which uses killing to resolve any problem is really unacceptable to me. My ethics require from me to be a part of this campaign, and if I can at least contribute to raising awareness of citizens on how wrong that is, I will be happy.”
“I believe it is time to find solution, and if there is a humane way to to that, let's apply it immediately!”
"I think dogs have been man's most loyal friends since the beginning of time, which is why they are entitled to the same rights as any other living being on this planet."
